Jerome “Jerry” “Goat” Maurice Liewer, 80, passed away Dec. 6, 2017 at Meadowbrook Rehab Hospital, Gardner, KS. No services. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com

Jerome was born Dec. 24, 1936 in Emerson, NE to Francis Joseph and Helen Matilda (Mohr) Liewer. He married Patty Lou Gibson in 1983. Jerome served in the US Air Force. He worked as a steel furnace operator and then as a food processing operator at Con Agra. Jerome was a member of Prince of Peace and St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Maryellen Patchul. Jerome is survived by his wife, Patty, of the home; children: Mary Ann (Chris) Brown, FL, Helen Marie Weatherford, FL, Jerome Maurice Liewer, Jr. (Pam), Valley Falls, KS, Jeanne Marie (Steve) Grasso, Los Angeles, CA; siblings: Larry Liewer, OR, Betty Kranniger, IA, Veronica Joy, Valley Forge, MD, Nicholas Liewer, Mt. St. Helens, OR and Theresa Caudle, CO; 9 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
