Shirley C. Cavaliere, 84, of Plainville, CT died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Apple Rehab, Plainville. Shirley was born on February 7, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Loretta (David) Crosby. She was a 1952 graduate of Plainville High School. Shirley was a homemaker and also worked at Travelers Insurance Co in Hartford for ten years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville. Shirley loved arts and crafts and meeting friends weekly for a breakfast. She was a Girl Scout leader for fifteen years and also volunteered at Linden St. School in Plainville.

Shirley is survived by her daughter - LeeAnn Cavaliere and her partner Tony Baruffi of Plainville, CT, her granddaughter Ashley Mills, her grandson, David Mills and many nieces and nephews. The Cavaliere Family would like to thank the nurses and staff that cared for Shirley, at Apple Rehab in Plainville. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Cavaliere.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Shirley’s life Monday December 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Farmington Ave., Plainville, CT. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT. Service of comfort provided by the Paul A.
