Janet V  Crater (Gramley)
Janet V. Crater, 73, of Centre Hall, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on June 18, 1944, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Esther Crabb Gramley. On March 27, 1971, in Millheim, she married Dean R. Crater, who survives at home.
Janet was a 1962 graduate of Penns Valley High School. She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Centre Hall. She was an Avon representative, retiring in 2015 after 35 years of service.
Janet enjoyed her interaction with her Avon customers and missed seeing all of them after she retired. She loved to work on her crossword puzzles, cook and work in her garden.
Janet is survived by her husband and two daughters; Mindy S. Chambers and her husband, Frank, of Pottsville and Vicki J. Crater of State College.
Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her only sibling, Alan Gramley. She was the last of her generation.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 6-8pm at the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Centre Hall. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11am at the church with Pastor Rebecca Horn and Pastor Russell Sauerwein officiating. Burial will be at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the St. Luke Lutheran Church, PO Box 331, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
