The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alexander Carmichael can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Cat story

Al was new to the community and after having settled in his house he had purchased some 3 months had passed.  Every day Al had the custom of doing a regular cat walk.  Al could be seen following his 2 cats named Bamby and Lizzy.  They occasionally would catch a mouse but Al refused to let them eat them because that was not healthy enough food quality for them.  One day or evening … I don’t recall but Al had his cats outside in his yard and they would wonder not far from home and Lizzy was not near to be found and so Al called out LIZZY COME HERE NOW in a loud commanding voice.   Mean time an elder lady happened on her daily walk to be walking near Al’s house, being that her name is Elisabeth and nicknamed Lizzy,  she was startled at the yelling and looked to see who was calling her is such a harsh and rude manner.   Al quickly apologized as he often did….  That was how he made that friend.  Many have unique first encounter with Al and his witty comments.
