Obituary for Dorothy Lail (Holmes)
Dorothy Lail, age 78, of Hickory went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, December 11, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. She was born July 2, 1939, daughter of the late Felix Ferdinand and Grace Mae Bolick Holmes.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by loving husband, John Wayne Lail; two brothers, Joe Holmes and Robert “Bob” Holmes; two sisters, Helen Carswell and Christine Bailey.
Those left to cherish her memories are one son, John Wayne Lail, Jr. and wife Diane of Icard; one daughter, Tammy Watson and husband Eric of Hickory; one granddaughter, Brooke Wilson of Lenoir; one grandson, Ben Watson of Hickory; one great-grandson, Jordan Wilson of Lenoir; one brother Charles Holmes of Lenoir.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Fellowship Christian Church. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dan Green officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
