Mary Virginia "Jenny" Cook
Memorial services for Mary Virginia "Jenny" Cook of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Daryl Johnson officiating. Visitation will be 1:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Jenny was born September 26, 1932 in Conehatta, Mississippi and went to rests in the arms of our Heavenly Father on December 9, 2017 in Monroe, LA at the age of 85. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She loved working in the concession stand for the Dixie Youth Baseball, known for the best hot dogs in town, also loved her Bingo and Bourre`.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Curtis Cook Sr.; father, Hudson Lamar Vance; mother, Venie Brown Vance; two sisters, May Lewis and Hazel Morrow; brother, Jack Vance; granddaughter, Jenna Wren Johnson and great grandson, Emerson Johnson.
Survivors include children, John Cook and wife Jane, Brenda Cook, Jimmy Cook and Sandy Sullivan and husband Dexter; grandchildren, Niki Frank, Carolyn Guerriero and husband Paul, Chessly Brimberry, Allison Wilkerson and husband Kevin, Kevin Cook and wife Amy, Shane Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Misty Corbell and Zachariah Cook; great grandchildren, Reece Myers, Brock Myers, Cullen Guerriero, Chandler Guerriero, Parker Wilkerson, Presley Wilkerson, Payton Wilkerson, Ellis Cook, Charlotte Cook, Gavin Coraro, Asher Corbell and Madison Chaission; two sisters, Tommie Dozier and Nell Vance; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
