The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Ramsay can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Barb Schuknecht
Condolence: Oh My! I did not hear of Madame Ramsay's passing until just now...I am so sorry...she was a wonderful teacher to our children at Holy Family ... I remember the first Parent/Teacher Interview where we asked to see her to see how our kids were doing and she was so ecstatic to see us! She rolled out the red carpet and treated us golden! She was a gem of a teacher and a sweet heart of staff at school when we needed a friendly face. I'm sure you will miss her terribly - but rest assured: God has His reasons and He will bless you and take care of you until you all can be reunited.
God bless..

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of Mary's sudden death. I first met her at the first Orff conference in Toronto and we later served on the Carl Orff Canada Board. Although we didn't meet often, we always enjoyed meeting. My condolences to all of the family.

Condolence: Mary's intelligence and wisdom, her integrity and high standards, her expectation of excellence (in herself and in others) and her fierce devotion to the people and ideas she believed in were a model to me, and to so many others in the field of education across Canada. Her perseverance and desire for quality in all that she did leaves a meaningful legacy.

It was my privilege to serve on the National Executive of Carl Orff Canada with Mary. She was a role model, a colleague, a friend.

My sympathies go out to you at this sad time.

Condolence: Mary was a revered, elegant and inspiring leader in the Orff community, always with a little twinkle in her eye. As someone who followed in her footsteps as Editor of Ostinato, I was personally aware of her impressive achievements. I am so sad to hear of her death, and know that Orffers right across Canada join me in extending sympathy to her family members. warmly, Catherine West (RCM Toronto)
