Life Story for Billie Caulford McNutt
BILLIE CAULFORD MCNUTT, 84 years of Darlington, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in her home. Married on November 14, 1953, she had shared 56 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ronald L. McNutt, at the time of his death in 2010.
Born on September 6, 1933 in Dublin, MD, Billie was a daughter of the late Byron and Ruby (Halsey) Caulford and a member of the first graduating class of North Harford High School in 1950. A member of Darlington United Methodist Church, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Known for her love of children, Billie had worked as a teacher’s aide for Dublin United Methodist Church Kindergarten followed by many years of service for Harford County Public Schools at Darlington, Dublin and North Harford Elementary Schools until 1987 when she retired.
A life member of Darlington Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary, Billie also was a dedicated Brownie Scout Leader, enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. Ceramics, knitting, sewing and needlework were also some of the activities she enjoyed. Most of all, Billie enjoyed being with her loving and dedicated family.

Mary Beth Copeland, husband James of Darlington, MD
Seven grandchildren: Melissa and Sarah Copeland, Aaron and Rebekah Swick, Kyle, Evan (Sarah) and Anne Patrick.
Four great-grandchildren: Aleah Copeland, Sidney Bull, Landon Brown and Abby Copeland.
And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
She was preceded in death by her four sisters: Jean Day, Mary Joyce Smith, Martha Caulford and Winona Yamanaka.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will begin on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Margaret Reeves-Grubb will officiate with interment in Darlington Cemetery, Darlington, MD.
