Obituary for Billy Gene "Poky" Gee Jr.
Graveside funeral services for Billy Gene “Poky” Gee, Jr., 46, will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Sunnyside Cemetery. Mr. Gee died at his residence early Tuesday morning, Dec. 19, 2017.
“Poky” was born in Cordele. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Gene Gee, Sr., and his daughter, Ashley Renae McVeigh. He was a truck driver for MBM Corp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Above all, at the top of his list of things he loved was the love for his family.
He is survived by his wife: Stella Gee of Cordele; his children: Jeffrey Alan (Tammy) McVeigh and Stephanie Nicole Yawn all of Seville; his mother: Billie Ruth (Lingefelt) (Gee) Sanders, better known as Doodle, of Cordele; his siblings: Marcus Alan (Patricia) Gee, Sr. of Pitts, and Marie (Ed) Ware of Cordele; and four grandchildren.
