Condolence: Coach Schnell, your positive influence on the lives of so many of your students and athletes will live on forever. You were the constant force in Ridley athletics for over half a century, and the embodiment of the Green Mystique. All my sympathies to your family at this difficult time.

Condolence: Miss Grant, I'm so sorry for the loss you and your family has suffered with the passing of Coach Schnell. I had him for Health. He was tough, fair and entertaining!! Fast forward several years, he taught 4 of my 5 children swimming through the Y at Garnet Valley. Imagine their surprise when they realized we shared a teacher! Again, my deepest condolences to you and your family.

PS You have always been and will remain my favorite teacher.....

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to Carl's family. I was on his early teams 1962-64. I still hear that whistle during those Sat AM drills. Back then it wasn't so much technical wrestling, it was guts, desire, determination and sheer will, that was Schnell! Just like the picture. I took those lessons thru life, especially when things got bleakest. Thanx for that coach.
