The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wallace Wimbish can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I will always remember Mr. Wimbish fondly! He was so kind and gracious when I was a mid-year transfer at A.S Johnston back in the mid-sixties. He walked me to my new classroom and assured me he had assigned me to the best 5th grade teacher he knew. (He probably told all the new kids that!) He treated all his students fairly with kindness and respect, and was a gentle authority figured we hated to disappoint. Deepest condolences to his grieving family and friends. He was a fine man.
