FERRI, Angela (nee Vesia) – It is with profound sadness that the family of Angela Ferri announces her passing on Monday December 25, 2017 at Union Villa in Markham, Ontario. Born on January 28, 1931 in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, Angela is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Domenico. She is also survived by her daughters Carmela (Joseph) and Domenica (Paul) and five grandchildren Angela (Danny), Enrico, Elisa-Marie (Paul), John-Paul, and Domenic (Chantel). After immigrating to Toronto, Angela worked hard alongside her husband in their upholstery business, and enjoyed the company of family and friends. She spent countless hours in the kitchen making her famous orecchiette, taralli all'uovo, cookies, and onion pie. No visitor left her home hungry. Angela took great pride in her grandchildren and shared many memorable moments with them.
Angela’s family is grateful to the staff of Union Villa for their kindness, care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Unionville Home Society Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
