Condolence From: Ken Youngblood
Condolence: A full life of 90 years ought to make the passing of someone dear to us easier to accept. But when you consider the character this man demonstrated, the loss goes far beyond the personal level. Truth is a man like Mr. Sawyer who lived a life of quiet dignity and possessed an unwavering moral compass is a loss to the greater community of mankind. His example of honesty, quiet, unassuming presence seems to me a rare necessity for all to witness in these times when even our nation's leaders can be so crude, deceitful and self-centered. That is why in all the years I knew this man I always addressed him as Mr. Sawyer. Hopefully his model of how to live a life of grace will live on in some small degree in all of us privileged to know him.

Condolence: I will miss you forever grandpa.. I hope you know how much of an impact you had on my life and who I am today. Everyone who had the pleasure to meet you, loved you! You are amazing! Make sure you tell grandma and aunt Debbie hi and I miss and love them, for me.. you are home now. You are at peace, no more pain and suffering. And I am at ease knowing you are at peace.
