Life Story for Marvin B Eddy

Marvin B  Eddy
Marvin Barnabas Eddy, known to friends and family as “Eddy”, passed away at the age of 95 at home with his family by his side, on December 23, 2017, following a brief illness. Eddy was born in Saginaw, Texas to Henry B. and Minnie Cooper Eddy. He was raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas and attended schools there. He served in the Army from 1944-1946 and was a veteran of World War II. Eddy was a former preacher in the Church of Christ and then worked in concrete construction until his retirement in 1988.
Eddy was married on February 16, 1988 to Joyce Gaiser in Clayton, New Mexico. Eddy and Joyce loved to travel together and see the natural beauty in the world. Eddy especially loved to visit family and friends in Arkansas and California.
Eddy was a Christian man who had a passion for spreading the word of God. He was a member of the Central Mansfield Church of Christ.
Eddy was Preceded in death by: Parents; Henry B. and Minnie Eddy, brothers; Lester Eddy, Jewell Eddy, Jasper Eddy, Sisters; Winnie Eddy, Dora Verville and step-son; Ed Wojtewicz.
In addition to his wife Joyce, Eddy is survived by: son; Marvin B. Eddy Jr. and wife Prasarn, daughters; Carylon Dallas and husband David,and Patricia Wireman, step-son; Scott Carpenter and wife Jennifer, step-daughter; Carol Sliva and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be: 2 pm Friday, at Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 1-2 pm Friday, at Skyvue funeral home.
