Joseph Christopher "Joe"  Turrisi
Joseph (Joe) Christopher Turrisi, 51, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2017, at the Reading Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Salvatore (Sam) Turrisi and Jean (Mountz) Turrisi. He was the brother of Lori Jean Sharp and her husband, Grayson Sharp. He also was an uncle to Steven Kunkelman, Jennifer Kunkelman and Samantha Sharp. He loved them dearly and enjoyed spending time with them when they were young.

Joe was a 1984 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Shillington, PA. In school, he was an accomplished drummer and was a member of the Governor Mifflin High School Marching Band and Drum Line. He traveled to Europe as part of the Music Abroad program, traveling and performing in Italy, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland. He continued his education at Lincoln Tech in Allentown, PA and graduated with a technical degree in Electronics.

Joe enjoyed all Philadelphia sports teams including the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles. He liked to listen to Classic Rock music and went to several concerts in his lifetime. He enjoyed watching TV especially The Three Stooges reruns and Ghosthunters. In addition, he was a car enthusiast, preferring classic and vintage cars. In his life , he owned a 67 Chevy Nova and a Ford Mustang.


Joe was a sensitive soul with an easy smile and infectious laugh. He also had many struggles in his life. He fought long and hard to battle his challenges.

He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. He was loved by his entire family and will be missed by all.
