Emma Jean Durbin Vocker
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jean Durbin Vocker of West Monroe, LA will be 11:00am Friday, December 29, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vocker was born August 26, 1933 in Jonesboro, LA and passed from this life on December 26, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 84. She was a member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a loving mother, grandmother and was loved by all.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Vocker, Sr.; her first husband, James Wesley Durbin; two brothers, Edgar Willis and Arnold Willis; and three sisters, Annie Ponder, Florene Cantrell and Obeline Willis.
Survivors include her children, Peggy Jean Worley and husband, Estes of West Monroe, Danny Durbin and wife, Trudy of Broussard, and Kerry Durbin and wife, Lisa of West Monroe; five step-children, Jan, Donnie, Jenny, Patti and Paula; her sister-in-law, best friend and running buddy, Katie Archibald; also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
