Genevieve (Vignone) Young, January 21, 1921 - December 25, 2017, Passed away peacefully on Christmas morning. Widow of Frank Vignone and Francis Young, she was predeceased by son, John Vignone and his wife, Sandra; her son-in-law, John Creehan. She leaves her daughters, Marybeth Creehan and Elizabeth Vignone; step-son Eric Young and his wife, Susan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Paula Vignone-Mezzanotte and her husband, Ross Mezzanotte, Denise Creehan, Timothy Creehan and his wife, Jennifer Creehan, Jennifer Gardner and her husband, Matthew Gardner, Daniel Gay and Michael Gay. Her beloved great-grandchildren: Jonathan Mezzanotte, Jake Mezzanotte, Alexa Mezzanotte, and Declan Gardner and her cherished friends: Gwen Malinowski, Suany Gomez, Mae Sonmez, Patricia Faukner, and Robert Gay. Daughter of the Gagliardies, the last of their nine children. Genevieve was born in East Hartford, and resided in Farmington for most of her life. Gen, a dedicated state worker, avid parishioner at St. Patrick’s Church was known to never shy from a “friendly” game of bridge, voicing her opinion solicited or otherwise, as well as, a good sale at the market.
