THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF DONALD W. LEE.
WATERBURY, CT – Donald W. Lee age 79, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2017, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after an extended illness. He was the husband of Hannelore (Scherer) Lee.
Donald was born March 3, 1938 in Rutland, VT, the son of the late William D. and Leona Ester (Forcier) Lee. He spent many years working as an Insurance Manager for both John Hancock Insurance and Nationwide Insurance companies. He enjoyed golfing, playing poker and was an avid UCONN basketball fan. Donald was a 20 year member of the Waterbury Elks #265 and took the opportunity to travel as often as possible with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved him.
Besides his wife, Hannelore, Donald is survived by his children; Lori Lee of Simsbury, John Lee of Southington, Jeffrey Lee of Southington, Donald Lee Jr. of Southington, Linda Lee of South Windsor, Amanda LaRusso of Hawaii, Lore Martinez and her husband, Norman Martinez Jr. of Waterbury, and Richard Lux and his wife, Gloria (Cardona) of Waterbury. He is also survived by his sisters; Deloris Mayo, and Gloria Lee both of FL. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa (Lux) Darley, his son, Ronald Lee and his brother, David Lee.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Lee will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:45pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial, 1987 E Main Street, @Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT. 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
