Ralph "Shorty" Bradford
Ralph Kimmey Dee Bradford, 70, of Christoval, TX passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Christoval Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Ralph was born to RA(Dobbs) Bradford and Vada Necessary on October 4, 1947. He grew up in Christoval. In May 1968, after graduating from High School, he joined the Navy in June and served two years active duty. Ralph retired from the active Navy Reserves in January 2000 after twenty years. He married Kathy Darlene Doyle on March 11, 1971. They have four children, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Ralph was a very hard-working man and spent most of his life working on ranches. He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing and being out in the country.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy; two sisters, Betty King and husband Morris and Elaine (Sissie) Sledge; daughters, Wendy Flanagan and husband Billy, Ginger Butterbredt and husband Russell, Brandy Woodruff and husband John; son, Randy Bradford and wife Mindy; grandchildren, Kimberly Bradford, William and Brandy Flanagan, Anna Andreas, Brian and Michael Butterbredt, Madison and Bailey Bradford and Katy, Christopher and Samantha Woodruff; great grandchildren, Kendra Andreas, Emma Fallin and Lacy Butterbredt-Lopez.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren, Hunter, Ashleigh and Taylor Bradford.
