God bless and keep you and yours during the loss of a Bernie, a man who endeared himself to everyone in the community who had the pleasure of knowing him. We thank you for sharing him with us. The joy that he gave away all the years playing at the Almonte Baptist church ( how many thirty or so.). Bernie's heart was a big one full of generosity and giving more of his love talents and time then someone with twice the years of living could. We all enjoyed Bernie's love of music but many are good musicians and teachers. Bernie however expression of service and love for Jesus came through in his outpouring of himself to any who needed his time and encouragement. What fun to jam with Bernie and learn the lessons but then to further finish a home lesson with another hour of gospel singing with Bernie playing. He so enjoyed life. And he enjoyed our enjoyment whether playing in a band at a dance, solo at a community event or hearing a novice share his love of making sound! Years ago I was that piano student who loved Bernie's exceptional teacher's heart and his willingness to finish each with a few gospel favourites. Him and I sharing the piano seat and singing up a storm! My husband too so enjoyed his years conspiring with Bernie and them playing the guitar and organ/piano respectively on the worship team .Bernie's whole body moved in song humour and joy! Thank you Charolette for getting Bernie to my mom and dad's 65th anniversary to play Orchardview's grand piano and some old favourites including King of the Road which my dad ( Logan More as former Road Superintendent of Ramsay) along with which we sang and danced, he made a terrific wonderful time and moment for mom (Jean More) as dad passed away 6 months later. So much given to the us all old and young student band mate and observer and worshipper.....We send our sympathy to you and your family in knowing that Bernie's life was one that well lived as a good and faithful servant and we are all richer for his smile, words, time and caring We will share your sorrow and miss the one of kind man with the soul of a child and all the wonder!.
