Condolence: I am writing on behalf of my Mother, Gerda, to extend our condolences to Geoffrey, Duncan, and Gregory and their families on the passing of Gertrud. My mother will sorely miss Gertrud, having known her since elementary school in Germany. I grew up hearing many stories about their school girl antics along with Sonya, Marcella, and Rita. My Mother always appreciated being in touch with Gertrud, even these many years later. They last spoke just before Christmas when my Mom sang her a Christmas song over the phone. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Geoffrey, Duncan and Gregory with families. Gertrud's sudden death really shocked me since we had just talked on the phone. Our close friendship since we went to school had ended with "Auf Wiedersehn" on the phone at Christmas. It was wonderful for Gertrud to have been with you all on Christmas.
My thoughts and memories of your mother are with you in Toronto.

Condolence: I met Gertrud in the hospital, when we were both having surgery. She noticed me reading a Focus on the family tract, and then leaving it for others to read. She was immediately drawn to me, because of our mutual love for Jesus Christ. We exchanged addresses,and I added her to my Christmas newsletter mailing list. Whenever she got one of my letters, she would phone me.
Only once did I visit her, and she made my day wonderful, cooking a meal fit for a queen and telling me all about her life.
Her Life in Christ shone so brightly. She was a bright, articulate lady. I am so glad, that I could meet her. I am so happy for her to be reunited with her husband, and be in the arms of her beloved saviour Jesus Christ.
My heartfelt condolensces to her children and grandchildren. Until we meet again,

Condolence: To Gertrude Reed's family,
I wish to share with you my sorrow and offer my deepest condolences. Gertrude was a dear friend, a precious one. Because of her friendship and good advice I became a better person. She prayed for my family's happiness and was a great comfort through all our good times and our grieving ones.
We'll miss her so much but I am sure she'll still be with us through our memories and will
always be comforting the ones she loved.
She was very proud of her family and you can be proud of your mother and grandmother.
She was part of our Bible Study group in Unionville/Markham led by Irene Morrison for many years and we had the joy of praying and sharing with Gertrude.

Please accept condolences from the Ogilvie family of Thornhill. About 3 years ago I had a long chat with your mother , at the reception after the funeral of June Barber. We were the only former Spring Garden members there. We covered a lot of ground during that conversation.
