Mr. Freddie Lee Jackson ("Rock", "Fat Man", "F.L.") was born March 31, 1945 in Heidenheimer, Texas to Mr. Hurley Jackson Sr. and Ms. Lessie Mae Jackson. He was raised by his mother and step-father Mr. C.J. Nealy. He was a faithful member of Gift of Life Ministries, where he served as an Ordained Deacon until the decline of his health. On July 6, 1966, Freddie was united in marriage to Jewel Jackson. They shared 51 years of life together, and in this union three daughters were born.
Freddie retired from C&H Die Casting after 15 years of being a forklift driver. For several years he owned Rock’s Auto doing what he loved and enjoy, working on cars; and, he was also known for remodeling houses. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father; grandson Nicholas Jackson; sisters Merline Johnson and Dinah Harden; and brothers Lawrence Shelton and Charlie Jackson.
Survivors are: his wife, Jewel Jackson; daughters, Julia Jackson and Pam Jackson of Temple, Shannon Robertson of Georgetown, Denise Brown of Fort Worth, Sandra Walters of Mansfield; son Edward Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters: Issie Mae Jackson, Emma Jean Nealy, Ann Faulkner, Carolyn Morgan, Dorothy Church all of Temple, Janice Nealy of Belton, Janell Nealy of Harker Heights, and Alicia Gatlin of Chesapeake, Virginia; brothers: Hurley Jackson, Ray Nealy, Wayne Nealy, Mark Jackson, James Nealy all of Temple, and Joe Nealy of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
