Timio Jimenez, age 79 of Temple died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his residence. He was born on March 6, 1938 in Temple to Cruz and Guadalupe (Castillo) Jimenez.
He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Martina Tobar on March 25, 1981 in Temple. He was a life-long resident of Temple and was a member of Rosa de Saron Pentecostal Church.
Timio is preceded in death by his parents Cruz and Guadalupe Jimenez.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Martina Jimenez of Temple, his four sons Raymond Sanchez and wife Aida of Rosebud, David Sanchez and wife Mary of Temple, Tony Sanchez and wife Patricia of Harker Heights, and Ramon Garcia and wife Ramona of Temple, his three daughters Mary Velasquez and husband Lonnie of Temple, Margaret Rayas of Temple and Norma Ramos and husband Gary of Killeen. He also leaves behind his five brothers Joe Jimenez and wife Pauline of Belton, Mike Jimenez of Austin, Guillermo Jimenez and wife Lucy of Waco, Cruz Jimenez Jr and wife Elia of Eddy and Vincent Jimenez and wife Janet of Austin, his four sisters Juanita Cruz and husband Adolfo of Temple, Aurelia Flores and husband Amado of Fort Worth, Anita Battle and husband Frank of San Antonio and Silveria Cuevas of Waco, his 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7:00pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home. A funeral service will start after the visitation at 7pm at the funeral home with Pastor Reymundo Rodriguez officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with military honors.
