EC will be greatly missed. Dr. Nelson was my initial advisor when I arrived at OSU as a freshman in 1976. Despite my swiitch to Ag Econ as a major, he continued to take an interest in my academic pursuits, persistently asking me if I wanted to transfer back to biochem. In fact, when I was working on a PhD at Iowa State, my officemate reported that while I was out, Id gotten a call and the message was do you want to transfer? The caller told him I would know who it was. EC was on campus for a meeting and checked in on me. I was glad he was still at OSU when I returned as a faculty member. My prayers are with the family.
