Obituary for Deborah C. Sauers (Dorman)
Debbie, after an extended illness, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ January 1, 2018. She was the wife of Gary O. Sauers for 48 years.
She is the daughter of John Dorman and his wife Joyce Alexander Dorman of Mifflin County who predeceased her.. Debbie is survived by her husband Gary, and her brother John, his wife Hazel and their family. She is also survived by Elizabeth Sauers and Beryl and Millie Sauers and their family.
Her education included graduation from Chief Logan High School in 1967 and subsequent studies at Northampton Area Community College and Penn State University at University Park. Debbie worked in Marketing and Promotions, managed an employment office and owned and operated a dog grooming business for several years.
As a member of the Bearded Collie Club she was active on the BDL list, Beardie Chat room, and a supporter of BEACON, a Bearded Collie health registry. She was involved in dog shows and herding events. Debbie loved working with animals, dog rescue, horses and related activities. She enjoyed her family, neighbors and friends. Debbie was a student of the Bible.
Charitable contributions (financial or volunteer work) may be made to the Lewistown Shelter for the homeless.
