Condolences

Condolence From: Gerald & Darlene Mikla
Condolence: To Helen's Children: I am sorry this is late, but I just found out about Helen's death yesterday. Helen was my Godmother and I always thought very highly of her. She welcomed me and my family there whenever we were near Jefferson. She lived a great life and I am sure you have many happy memories of her. I know that I will always treasure my memories of the gracious lady.

Condolence: What an amazing servant of God! I am in awe of Helen's commitment to serving others all of her life. She is certainly resting in the joyous presence of our Lord. My sympathy to her family and friends. My 8th graders have also kept her in our prayers.

Condolence From: Judy (Carey) Maas & Cary Maas
Condolence: I worked for Social Services/Human Services for over 43 years, many of those years were also when Helen was employed there as well. Growing up at St. John the Baptist church/school, my family always ended up sitting in the pew behind Helen and her children at Sunday Mass, and we kind of watched the girls and Steve grow up. Helen was always the kind of person who would have a ready smile and was the first person to want to help anyone who needed it. She was a very giving person, and she will be missed by so many people. We planned to attend the funeral mass today, to extend our sympathies to the family. I was looking forward to talking to the girls, and hoped to have a chance to say Hi to Pat (Voss). We worked together at Social Serv, many years ago. I am confined to a wheelchair full time these days and have to rely on my husband to take me places. He is retired from Human Serv as well, and knew Helen and Harvey, too. He was called to teach today, so we were not able to attend the Mass. Please know that we both thought very highly of your mom, and she was a joy to work with and to know. Judy & Cary

Condolence: We met in 1945 as Freshman in Whitewater. We have been good friends ever since - over 72 years. At 90 we were still good friends. Helen introduced me to my husband Ray. Last week we talked for the last time. She will be a big loss.

Condolence: We're sending our deepest sympathy to Helen's entire family. We've only know her since Ben and Krisy were married in 2012, however, we do know she was an amazing person and raised a great family!
May the wonderful memories you have of times you spent together with this special lady, bring smiles and comfort as you begin to heal. May God bless you with peace!
Sincerely,
