Obituary for Charles E "Gary" Garrison Jr.
BROOKFIELD- Charles E. “Gary’ Garrison, Jr., 73, passed away peacefully after a fight to recover from diabetes related complications on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
Gary was born on August 16, 1944 in Fort Monroe,VA, the son of Charles E. Garrison, Sr. and Dorothy (Royal) Garrison. Formerly a resident of Florida, Gary served in the US Army as a power lineman from 1962 to 1968. Gary moved to Massachusetts with his family in 1974, taking up residence in Brookfield. Prior to his retirement in 2006, Gary worked as a machinist. He was an engaged community member that served as a little league baseball coach in the 1980s. Gary will be remembered for his hard work and his dedication to his friends and family. He will be deeply missed.
Gary is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce (Phelps) Garrison; 3 sons Dean F. Garrison & his wife Denise of Charlton, Chad W. Garrison of Daytona Beach,FL, Luke A. Garrison & his wife Cheryl of Merrimack, NH and 4 grandchildren, Rowan, Trent, Rachel, and Kyle.
