I was thinking of Josephine and noticed this opportunity to record memories. I worked with Josephine at Mount Carmel Guild in Newark in 1970. We became friends at that time. After she married Charlie, my husband and I enjoyed many good times with them. They both loved music, traveling and entertaining. We especially enjoyed the afternoons at their lake house in Vernon, NJ.
We both relocated and distance kept us from seeing each other as much as we would have liked. We were always in touch by phone and I miss those calls.
Josephine was a wonderful friend to me. She was also an inspiration. She never let her low vision keep her from what she wanted to do. Even with her last serious illness, she always asked "How are you?" and she meant it. Rest in peace Jo and Charlie.
