The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gerald Butcher can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Mark E. Fleetwood
Condolence: The Butcher Family,

First of all I had such a great respect for Mr. Butcher, I could have never called Him by any other surname. When I think of Him I smile, He would refer to me as Marquiss, or Marcus Arelious. History was my favorite subject but I later realized it was only because he was my history teacher. His quick wit and sense of humor was constantly on display, even on the baseball field or football field the same smile, the same demeanor.
I’ve had a major league cold which is why I was unable to attend the viewing or the funeral which I regret deeply. Please know this he always had a special place in my heart and always will, I can’t wait to see him again. But not too soon, Ha ha ha!

My Love to Y’all
Mark Fleetwood
