The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Mobley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Colin Curlew

Uncle Jim, Barb, Nick, Mary, Debbie, Dave and families, please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of Jim (Jimmy). Words cannot express the shock and sadness we feel to hear of his sudden passing. Jimmy was the youngest of Arthur (d. 1985) and Helen (d. 1984) Curlew’s 9 grandchildren and Aunt Eleanor’s (d. 2004) beloved son, who she often spoke of with pride and joy. I have fond memories of large family get-togethers at Christmas time in Toronto or visiting 228 Eaton Ave. in Eaton Ohio during March break or Easter in the 1970s…a simpler time. Jimmy was always a high energy kid, full of fun and life; I can still picture him riding his Big Wheel. He grew up to be a gifted athlete and a fine man with a loving, caring heart and a great sense of humour. The last time I saw Jimmy was in 2001 but chatted with him a few times since. He mentioned his love for Florida, but wanting to stay close to his Dad and that his Mother was the family glue; I know he missed her deeply, as do we. We miss you Jimmy and may God bless you and your entire family! Colin Curlew and family
