Condolence: Doc was my high school varsity football coach. He taught us so much more than just football. He always stressed how important it was to be a good and decent human being first and a good football player second. His quick wit and sense of humor was second to none. His players loved and respected him and were all better people for knowing him.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to your family. I was so terribly sad the receive the news about Doc's passing this past week. He was one of the good guys!! Not only as a mentor, coach but as an adult figure who cared about all of his kids. Today as it rained I reflect on the joy of his life bringing Mathew and Katie to practices and letting run around having a ball or introducing Doc to clamming and mucking it up with him out on the flats. He was responsible for my passion to coach high school lacrosse. The hug he gave me when he came out to watch my team from St. Louis play Bayshore, priceless. When I saw him on the sideline I was never happier and prouder. Doc- I know your looking down smiling on all the lives you've touched. You were a blessing. Love to the Holliday family.
