Jim B Anderson
Jim B Anderson, 96, of Angleton passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018 in Angleton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Wilkins St Church of Christ with Leland Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 at Palms Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson was born December 15, 1921 in Trinity, Texas to Benjamin & Louise Miller Anderson. He was a Corporal in the US Army serving in WWII and retired from Dow Chemical in 1982 where he worked as a Boilermaker. Mr. Anderson was a member of Wilkins St Church of Christ and was a Master Mason in the Angleton Masonic Lodge # 829 AF & AM. He was recognized with his 50 year Masonic membership pin in August of 2006.
He married his wife of 66 years, Elsa Gray Anderson on January 25 in 1941 in Huntsville. She preceded him in death in 2006 and well as his parents, his son Richard Anderson and son-in-law Joe Fitzgerald.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Anderson & friend Cookie Lee of Oklahoma City, Ok, daughter, Anna Fitzgerald of Rosenberg, daughter in law Marsha Anderson, three granddaughters, Sheila Ramey and husband Clint of Bay City, Christie Reaves and husband Travis of Parker Heights and Carrie Lowrie and husband Brian of Midwest City, Ok. Two grandsons, Jeffery Bynum and wife Lori of Mesquite and Billy Anderson and friend Catherine Webb and 9 Great-Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Clint Ramey, Jeffrey Bynum, Jeffrey Bynum, Jr, Billy Anderson, Kenneth Thornton and Tom Odom. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of The Church of Christ, Eugene Filipp and Jeff Herder
