Obituary for Sandra Eileen Bressanutti (Hart)

Sandra Eileen Bressanutti (Hart)
Sandra (Sandie) Eileen Bressanutti - nee Hart

June 07 1969 to January 05 2018

Sandie was born in Toronto on June 7th, 1969. Andy and Eileen, her parents, were English immigrants, and she is the eldest of 3, sister to Julian and Andrew.

When Sandie was a child her nickname was Little Miss Smiley, because of her ever-present big smile. If Sandie saw someone without a smile, she gave them one. Sandie kept this beautiful smile until she left us.

At the age of 18, Sandie’s Mum was taken from us by cancer and Sandie became the big sister and guardian angel for Julian and Andrew. This was a role that she never stopped.

Sandie met her husband Daniel in the pool during swimming and water polo practices while attending high school together. Her beautiful smile captivated him. They were married in Woodbridge on September 12th, 1992.

After marrying, Sandie and Daniel worked, prayed, and played in Kleinburg and added to their family 8 years later. They were blessed with 5 spirited children, Stephen, Joshoua, Luke, Lauren, and Landis, who kept their lives exciting, unpredictable, and full of unconditional love.

Her children can attest to the fact that their Mummy had “the patience of a saint”, and was always supportive and encouraging, wise and kind, and she was so proud of them all.

Sandie will be remembered as a selfless, supportive wife and mother, who was always calm and had a smile, even when times were tough. She had a quiet strength, never complained, always looked for the best in people, and never wavered in her faith.

While raising 5 children, Sandie continued to work and was the Chief Financial Officer of Staxi Corporation. Her co-workers all loved Sandie because of her big smile, her dependability, and her willingness to stand up for what was right.

Sandie’s faith life was very important to her. After the family moved to rural Schomberg they all attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nobleton, in which she became a very present member of the community, and encouraged her children to do the same. This past November, Sandie and Daniel took a pilgrimage with members of the congregation to Guadalupe in Mexico, further living out her faith.

In 2014, her strength of character was clearly shown when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lobular breast cancer. Sandie had every right to be angry, to cry and be depressed after her
diagnosis but she continued to love and live despite the difficulties of the treatments she underwent. She was determined that cancer would not alter her outlook on life, and was always graceful, until God called for her.

Sandie was such a special woman. She will be deeply missed.

Sandie is survived by her husband, Daniel, her children, Stephen, Joshoua, Luke, Lauren, and Landis, her father, Andy, and by her brothers, Julian and Andrew, who will continue to live and love as she did, with hope, grace, and faith.
