Ethel Mae (Hutchins) Myers, 96, of formerly of Glen Rock, died Monday January 8, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Myers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with Dr. Mark Hopkins and Pastor Mike Hopkins, officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount U.M. Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Myers was born on November 8, 1921 in Hoffmanville, Maryland, and was a daughter of the late Richard H. and Mary Ellen (Hoover) Hutchins.
She was a member of the New Freedom Baptist Church. Ethel was an avid quilter, loved to travel, paint, and enjoyed flowers.
She leaves two daughters, Sylvia J. Glatfelter and her husband Lamar of Glen Rock, and Linda M. Schnetzka of York; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and a sister Mary Phillips of Jacobus. She was predeceased by a son Charles H. Myers, Jr.; a son-in-law Roy Schentzka; one great granddaughter; and nine siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenmount Church Cemetery Association, 4242 Greenmount Church road, Glen Rock, Pa 17327.
