The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Garold Greenlees can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: My prayers to Garolds family.I first met Mr. Greenlees in 1987 when I was 17 as a waitress at Elbys he was part of the 3 table coffee drinkers tea whatever the days before cell phones when people took time almost daily to visit do business or just general good BS.I worked there for 8yrs and this group wasn't customers they became a extended family. I was fortunate enough over the years to see Garold. He was a quiet man and always kind. He and Tom Wienstock were great friends. I was very close to Tom and after he finally sold his welding tinkering shop after numerous years in business I was happy Garold acquired it knowing Tom would be happy he had it. In the last couple years he suffered with his illness he and his buddy would have lunch where I worked and at some point he remembered me. I ran into him and his wife last summer they pulled into Tiger Stop beside me as I was leaving I got out and walked over to speak he seemed to know exactly who I was. Mrs. Greenlees not exactly sure who I was puzzled how he knew me. I told her who I was and then she understood. I was happy and thankful to see him and his wife that afternoon. My prayers and sympathy to his loving wife and family. He was a great man and will be dearly missed by many. Im sure somewhere on his next journey there is The Ol 3 tables Coffee drinkers BS-ers and the wonderful people I came to know as a young lady at Elbys at tables 16 17 18 making deals, bickering about there opinions, gossiping, and enjoying good Ol times. God Bless You All!!!

Condolence: I never met Mr. Greenlees but I have meet his daughter Greta. Over the past few years I have been impressed by her great love for her parents and spending time with them whenever possible. This is part of the legacy that Mr. Greenlees leaves - a family that understands what is important.
As I read the tribute to his life, I could just imagine all the lives Garold has touched and how he has made an impact for what counts in eternity. His time spent on earth was well done. He impacted his family and others and I wish I had been able to meet him but his life of impact is being carried on by others. What a powerful way to live. Thank you Garold William Greenlees for your example for us to follow. God Bless your family as they carry on your legacy.
