The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Keith Oliver can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Pop

Pop was a man with nothing but a smile,a man that loved all of us kids like his own and never judged us for the mess we were..It was always open arms at the oliver residence..Him and mom would always come to the door with a hug and a smile. He would always have a story to tell or a joke to make us laugh with..One time when I got a new dodge,i came to the house and smoked the tires in front of the house then left for the day, mom came home from work and realized that one of Kevin's friends had to do it..well as usual I was the one...i knocked on the door and both mom and pop were yelling come in..mom asked "who's the jerk who made skid marks in the road?" And pops response will always stick out in my mind! He said "Better on the road then in your pants" we laughed and I felt compelled to tell the truth, I looked to the floor and said "It was me as if thinking they all ready knew, mom told me not to do it again, I apologized and looked up and from the kitchen pop gave me a thumbs up then went to the porch..i said sorry then retreated to the porch where pop was..he told me not to do it again and asked how much power my truck had..we conversated for a few minutes then he came outside...ill never forget the love that man had for us kids (and there was a lot of us between Kevin's friends and rays)..no matter how dumb we acted him and mom still loved us unconditionally..if we were hungry they fed us,if we were happy and having a good time they would join in,but if we were sad and needed a shoulder they would hug us and tell us to stop being a sissy...i can never repay them for showing all us kids what true parents were especially for kids like me that didn't habe parents..i love you pop..i miss you everyday!
