The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Keith Oliver can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Keith and I

Keith and I went to school together since the 9th grade. He and his brother greg lived about 2 streets from me.  Well those were the late 60's vietnam was hot and the world was crazy. I not sure how it happened but Greg, Keith and I. signed up for the Navy about the same time. Keith and I signed up on the buddy plan. That meant we would go through boot camp and maybe beyond together. Well on our second day of bootcamp, we had our heads shaved were given clothes that kinda of fit and now it was medical time. You know where we got poked prodded and shots. Well after that we went into this large room and were told to sit on the floor. They started asking if we had ever had this or that or whatever. I had hernia surgery a few years before so I went up and told them. I came back and sat next to Keith, and he was giving me the dirtiest look ever. He got up and went up front to speak to the doc's. Well he came back and when we could talk I said what was that all about???? He had assumed that I made up some story and was trying to get out. So he told them he wet the bed. I about died laughind, but that was the last I saw Keith for oh about a year, as they put him back to see if he did wet the bed..............  I am proud to say Keith was in my wedding party, that will be 46 years ago next month. Love ya like the Brother I never had.
