Obituary for T. Lee

T. Lee Davis (83) of Independence, OR, passed away January 7, 2018. Lee was born in Airlie, OR on May 23rd, 1934 to Anna Olsen Davis and Glen Davis. He was the 8th of 9 children; the youngest son. After graduation from Central High School, he enlisted in the Army. Lee married Rosalie J. Fisher on June 22nd, 1956. They purchased a farm outside of Independence where they raised three girls. Lee worked in the logging industry. Then he owned and operated a bull rental business. Lee loved hunting and the outdoors. He and the guys took several trips to the Steens mountains for some awesome hunting and memories. In his later years, he started hunting in Airlie, pointing out sights and telling stories of growing up. He went weekly to livestock sales, always had candy for the kids, and loved to tease everyone. After Rosalie’s passing in 2005, Lee married Gerie Timmons on March 10th, 2007. They continued to live at the farm, where Gerie learned all about farm life.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie, his parents, 5 siblings, his son-in-law Lee Ingram, and his beloved dog Gizmo.

He is survived by his wife Gerie Davis of Independence, OR; his daughters Brenda Meyer of Salem, OR, Susan & Joe Searcy of Dallas, OR, and Paula Davis & Archie Talbert of Salem, OR; his step-son Eric Timmons of Lake Oswego, OR; his granddaughter Marissa Meyers of Yuma, AZ; and his grandson Justin Ingram of Dallas, OR.

Services will be held at Restlawn Funeral Home on January 20th, 2018 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you share a memory or photo of Lee, and mail them to P.O. Box 1173, Dallas, OR 97338.
