NORTHPORT – Daniel Herbert Quinn, Jr., age 86, of Northport, Ala., died January 9, 2018, at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at Life Point Church of God with Rev. Tony Pope, Rev. Rick Bradley and Rev. Tony MaHathy officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. prior to services at the church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Booth Quinn; parents, Daniel H. Quinn, Sr. and Magdalene Hale.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Sullivan Quinn, daughter; Cindy Quinn Flemings of Nashville, TN, son; Daniel Timothy Quinn (Sandra) of Tuscaloosa, AL.; sister Judy Royal of Theodore, AL. ; grandchildren; Tara Caldwell (Joe) of Nashville, TN, Lori Stiefel (Ben) of Ringgold, GA., Chase Flemings (Tara Leigh) of Dickson, TN., Shane Quinn of Tuscaloosa and Haylea Quinn of Tuscaloosa and five great grandchildren.

Born January 28, 1932, in Bibb county to Daniel and Magdalene Quinn. He was a member of the Life Pointe Church of God. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired with over 30 years service from BF Goodrich. He loved his church and serving His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He participated in the construction of the Alberta City Church of God and financially contributed to the construction of the Life Point Church of God. He leaves behind a beautiful, Godly legacy of servant hood and the epitome of a gentle saint for his family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chase Flemings, Joe Caldwell, Ben Stiefel, Shane Quinn, Chris Booth, and Rodney Booth. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown, Buddy Tingle, Lanelle Winters, Edna Marcum, Edward Howton, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Curtain, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Prentiss, Annie Hinton, Cammie Lilly, Jenny Hudson, Hilda Oswalt, Teresa Mueller, Alana Hare, Glenda Johnson, Lucille Brown, Bobby Miller, Woody Smith, Patsy Adams, RN, Dr. Scott Fulgham,MD. and Associates, Dr. Fausto Fabian Salinas and Associates, Northport Fire and Rescue Station 4, past and present members of LifePointe Church of God and Northport Church of God.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Lifepointe Church of God, 10050 Highway 11 North Cottondale, Alabama 35453 in memory of Daniel H. Quinn, Jr. and Sue Quinn for Scholorship fund.
