Monmouth – Arthur Esman, Sr, 87, a resident of Monmouth, Maine, died on Tuesday, January 9th in Monmouth. He was born in Auburn, Maine on June 7, 1930, the son of Glendon W. Greer and Beatrice Eleanor (Bernard) Greer. He attended Garfiled Jr High School in Revere, MA and Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine. Arthur proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On January 10, 1953, he married Joan Ellen Hawkins, the love of his life, in Auburn. Arthur had been a self-employed truck driver for 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Joan Esman of Monmouth, three daughters; Leiarna Mae Esman Parkin of Wales, Peggy Sue Esman Savage of Monmouth, Wendy Jean Esman Deschenes of Auburn, two sons; Arthur “Joey” Bernard Esman Jr. of Litchfield and Glendon “Glen” Richard Esman of Monmouth, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a special friend of the family, Carlaine Bovio and his cat Chester. He was predeceased by his parents, a great-grandson, Camden Scott Emmons, and a brother, Richard Ally Esman.

Esman, Arthur, Sr. –, 87, a resident of Monmouth, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Monmouth, Maine. Funeral services with full military service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine. Visiting hours will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Augusta, Maine
