Linda Paul (nee Mariner), 75, of Roseland passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center with her husband by her side. Services were held privately under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home, Roseland, NJ. Condolences and memories may be shared at farmerfuneral.com. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Skip Paul of Roseland; daughter Aimee L. Paul of Caldwell; son Timothy B. Paul and his wife Kristi T. Beighley of Montclair. She is also survived by her brother Thomas N. Mariner, Jr. and his wife Mary Lou of Port Orange, Florida. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara L. Moreno of Egg Harbor, NJ.
Linda, a lifelong resident of Roseland, was born September 15, 1942, in East Orange, NJ, daughter of Thomas N. and Margaret Mariner. After graduating Grover Cleveland High School in 1960, she worked at Mutual Benefit Insurance Company in Newark. Several years later, while working for Ketcham and Mcdougal in Roseland, she met her husband-to-be, Skip Paul of Wayne, NJ, whom she married on September 7, 1968. After her two children were born, Linda stayed home to provide a loving home for her growing family. She later returned to work at Kings Supermarkets in West Caldwell for 18 years before retiring in 2004.
