Obituary for Elizabeth Anne Mann (Nelson)
Elizabeth (Liz) Anne Mann (Nelson) left this earth on Friday, January 12, 2018. Liz was the beloved mother of Isaac Mann, wife of David Mann, daughter of Thomas Nelson and Della Nelson, and sister to Thomas (Drew) Nelson. Liz is also survived by her Aunts and Uncles: Joanna Remack, Andy Remack, Suzette Martz, Bill Nelson, and Rob Nelson, as well as by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Liz was born on September 26, 1986 in Springfield, Illinois. She lived in Springfield until 1992 when Liz responded to her parents skeptical desire to live in Colorado while on a ski trip to Winter Park by stating, “Why can’t we live here.”
Liz attended Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado, participating in the I.B. Program. Her love of reading prompted her choice as an English major at the University of Colorado in Boulder, to teach high school English. But her special love of animals won out in the end, finalizing her career choice as a veterinary technician.
Liz met the love of her life, David Mann, and married him on November 25, 2011 in Lyons, Colorado. She became the proudest, most loving, and caring mother to Isaac Mann on May 13, 2015.
There simply aren’t enough adjectives to describe our Liz. Caring, loving, brilliant, funny, strong are but a few. Liz will continue to be loved by all who knew her and will always be in our hearts.
