July 4, 1948 - January 11, 2018
Diana Lynn Rivera, age 69, a life long resident of Oakdale, CA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 11, 2018. She was born on July 4th 1948 to parents Ernest and Margaret Ritts. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1966 and was married to the love of her life, husband Philip A. Rivera, for over 50 years. They were blessed with two children, Charles Rivera (wife Amy) and Theresa Barnes (husband Dean). Diana was a gentle, loving and devoted wife, mother, grammie, and sister. Adored by her husband, children and grandchildren- Taylor, Hanna, Mason, Hayley and Zachary. Her life revolved around them. She especially enjoyed traveling with family and friends and attending every event her grandchildren participated in. Diana especially enjoyed baking family favorites and hosting family get togethers. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and attended Calvary Chapel in Modesto.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ernest Ritts and niece Tracy Ritts Riddle. She will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery in Oakdale, CA in a private burial, followed by a 11:30 AM service at Calvary Chapel Modesto, CA for all family and friends. A "Celebration of Life" will follow immediately after the service.
