Condolence: We want to express our heartfelt condolences to all of “Barry’s” family. Many Delightful memories will continue to keep you strong in the days, months, and years to come. Ask our Creator, "... the God of all comfort " to be with you during your sad days and give you the strength to endure. May the hope of all hopes be foremost on your mind and heart, as we all look forward to the near future when the promise of the resurrection takes place. (Acts 24:15). I learned about this promise at jw.org and I encourage you during your disquieting days ahead, to look there for reassurance of the hope of being reunited with your dear loved one.

Condolence: I am so, so sorry you have to go through this.....and I’m doubly sorry I can’t be there to offer my support. Thank goodness for Facebook and FaceTime.

Barry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law and brother-in-law. He lived life to the fullest and never let his disabilities hold him back from enjoying his sports. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

RIP Barry Silverstein.

Condolence: At our most vulnerable moments, but especially when we have suffered a loss, words offering condolences and understanding seem insufficient to bring comfort. Today, I want to offer a memory of chesed and legacy to let the family know of Barry’s immeasurable impact in this short life.
I, as was Barry, part of a group of enthusiastic fans whose season ticket seats to the Omaha Royals’ at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha were in close proximity to each other. We shared more than team stats, meaning that we shared families and became a family. I also remember Barry as “the Voice” at Creighton Prep.
On one occasion, I had missed a Royals game due to an illness. Of course, I received love and well wishes from everyone in our Omaha Royals’ group. However, Barry, being at Creighton Prep one evening (which was in close proximity to my house) following the Royals’ game I had missed, went so far as to get me a bowl of Kosher chicken soup to aid in my recovery. It did the trick, as he promised! I recovered quickly.
Two days ago, and after all these years, unbeknownst to me of Barry’s passing, I had a memory of that kindness and it brought a smile to face to think that someone had cared so much for me that they would go out of their way to be so kind. This act of kindness truly impacted my life.
While I did not know Barry’s children well except when they were babes and he would bring them to Rosenblatt from time to time; but I remember when he shared with the Royal’s group that he was expecting children. He was beyond excited and happy to have you in his life. You were his everything, and I know that with Barry as your dad, you children have a profound legacy of continuous loving chesed to emulate.

Condolence: Barry was a wonderful friend of ours from Brooklyn. I have tremendous memories of him from playing ball in our local park, going to school with him, and from hanging out with him in our neighborhood with all of the Avenue P park boys. I spoke to him within the past month and I am truly heartbroken over his passing. May the entire family be comforted at this time.

Condolence: I am shocked and saddened of the news of the passing of my good friend Barry Silverstein “Brooklyn.” Barry and I attended college together for three years and because I was a fellow New Yorker (originally from the Bronx) we had a lot in common. We lost touch for a number of years, but reconnected and our phone conversations were always entertaining. I will sure miss his voice and our discussions. I have great memories of my friend who was like a brother to me. “Brooklyn” was a great guy; a very kind person with a big heart. I will always remember his big smile. Rest in Peace my brother; may God be with you. My deepest sympathy to his wife Cheryl and the rest of the family. May God Bless you all during this time of mourning.
