Condolences

Condolence From: Darwin & Judy
Condolence: Judy and I were surprised and sadden to learn of Barbara's passing. I worked with her on a project at Sandia and was impressed with not only her work but all her outside interests. She will be missed.

Condolence: So sad to hear of Barbara's untimely passing. I had the pleasure of volunteering with her in High Desert Cat Rescue in Albuquerque. She was not only a dedicated volunteer, but was also a wonderful foster parent to a number of wayward felines who ended up in our care. It was a huge loss to our group when she retired and moved away. I will forever remember her quiet strength and sense of humor; she could always make me laugh!

Condolence: Dear Mrs Pass and Joyce, So shocked and sadden to learn of Barbara's passing. We knew each other from the reserves; she was a pleasure to work with, so smart, fun, down to earth and a fine solider. My mom (Juanita Griffin) knew Bill and his sister Inez from Springer Ok. By my mom's mother Thelma's second marriage; my mom became Barbara's step second cousin. Barbra and I had lots of fun conversations at lunch about how small world is and how we were so distantly related. Very sorry for your loss.

Condolence: I was so sad to hear of Barbara's death. I considered Barbara a good friend and failed to reciprocate very well. I just thought she would always be there and we would reconnect again when I came out of my social withdrawal. I knew Barbara throughout most of my time at Sandia although we lost touch for several years in the middle. It was a joy when we started working together again. I loved her quirkiness, stubbornness, work ethic, and the fun we had together. We passed many an hour just talking about things - ballooning, doctors, everything except sports (I'm not a sports fan). I always admired her willingness to jump in and do things like remodeling. She will be sorely missed.

Condolence: Here in Albuquerque, stunned to read of Barbara’s death. She was the ever-capable professional, with razor sharp intellect and wit; it was actually fun to work with her. Loved her humor, born of critical thinking and impatience with absurdity; with always an abundance of absurdity and irony there was always a lot of laughter. I’ve never forgotten this woman of accomplishment and strength and quiet dignity -- now remembering her also with sorrow and regret. Tempus fugit. Deepest condolences to Barbara’s family, whom she spoke of, lovingly, so often.

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Pass and Joyce,

We were lucky to have Barbara as a next door neighbor for many, many years when we lived in Albuquerque. She was the best neighbor we have EVER had and took care of our house and cats for us while we were on vacation. We took care of her place and cats while she did her duty at the National Guard and took trips back home to Oklahoma to spend time with you both during the holidays.

She was a great person and we spent many hours talking garden, houseplants, work, home improvements and sharing cookies over our back yard fences. While we haven't seen her in years since retirement, we shared updates on all the work she was doing on her house and this world is an emptier place knowing she isn't here with us anymore.

But we'll meet again someday and until then we'll think of here when the Oklahoma teams play each other and when we bake cookies or undertake another home improvement project.

God bless you and comfort you.

Condolence: I was shocked when Jimmy Biggs called yesterday about Barbara's passing. I am very sadden by your loss and could not be at the funeral due to doctors. One of the things you get to do with age is support the medical profession.

Condolence: Dear Mrs Pass and Joyce,

I had the honor of caring for Barbara's beloved kitties while she lived in Albuquerque. I was so very sad to read of her death in the Albuquerque paper yesterday. Barbara was a gentle soul who had so many talents. Her Christmas cactus' were something to behold. Barbara will be missed by many who loved her. I know she is happy to be free of the disease that governed so much of her life. May you find comfort and peace in your wonderful memories of her life and the love she had for her family.
Most sincerely,
Linda Sullivan

Condolence From: Williams Family
Condolence: The loss of a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are family and friends who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. God will comfort you during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are also with you and your family.
