Richard Lee “Hutch” Hutchison, age 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born June 29, 1950, in Chambersburg, he was a son of Lula Eutzy Hutchison and the late Raymond Hutchison.
Hutch worked as a bartender and club manager for the Landis-McCleaf Marine Corps League for 35 years, retiring in 2015, He also had worked part-time at Penn National Golf Club. Hutch enjoyed collecting and restoring Farmall Tractors of all kinds. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and golfing.
Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Wilma Lehman Hutchison, whom he married July 21, 1973; two daughters, Joyelle D. Varner (husband Shane) of Fayetteville, PA and Amber J. Kauffman (husband Eric) of Greencastle, PA; three grandchildren, Makenna and Brady Varner and Maddox Kauffman; five siblings, Calvin Hutchison (wife Carol) of Daytona, FL, Kathy White (husband William) of Ferndale, MI, Jeffrey Hutchison of Chambersburg PA, Pam Tasker (husband Trent) of Chambersburg, PA, and Cindy Rhinehart (husband Donald) of Shippensburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. John Pogue will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Franklin/Fulton Unit, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
