JOHN “Jack” "Iggy" TARAP

John, 87, of Oakdale, died Thursday, January 18, 2018..

He was born January 30, 1930, in Oakdale, a son of the late Ignatz and Bertha Szucs Tarap. He was a life-long resident of Oakdale.

Mr. Tarap was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing and loved to share his knowledge with nieces and nephews.

Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces & nephews. Also surviving is his sister, Elizabeth Miller of OH.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha R. Garland Tarap (2006); sisters, Goldie Boris, Edith Jones, Margaret Nagy, Irene Jozwiakowski; brothers, Michael, George, Stephen and James Tarap.

Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 5000 Noblestown Road, Oakdale (724-693-2800) where funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
