Minnie Lee Medlin Lloyd, 81, of Franklinton, passed away, on Saturday, January 20, 2018. She was born on October 30, 1936 to the late Levi Medlin and Annie Ross Cooley. In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Allen Lloyd; and a son Timothy Lloyd.

Minnie is survived by her daughters, Jean Melvin (Mark), and Joyce West (Len); her son, Wayne Lloyd; a daughter-in-law, Grace Lloyd; grandchildren, Jamie Vaughan, Sr., Heather Davis, Amanda Rutledge, Kevin Lloyd, Renee Dixon, Kelsey Nelson, Lacy Harrison, and Timber Lloyd; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Minnie loved her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her world, all were loved, but the first born great-grandchild, J.J. Vaughan was extra special. Minnie loved going on bus trips with the late Ann House and Roxanne Hudson. She enjoyed the bus trips and wanted to share this pleasure with others, when Amanda was quite young, Minnie took her to Branson on a bus trip. Minnie also was a huge Conway Twitty fan. Minnie had a very special sister-in-law, Lavern Loyd, and two dear friends Frances Goodwin and Kerry Lindsey that were like family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 1:00-1:45pm at Lancaster’s Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St. Franklinton, NC, where funeral services will be held at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
