Obituary for Lillian Dorthea Williams (Arsenault)

OAKHAM - Lillian Dorothea "Mémère" Williams, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, Janurary 20, 2018 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family.

Lillian was born on April 7, 1925, the daughter of Jude and Ada Arsenault and the caring wife of Armand Williams. Lillian was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Armand Williams. She leaves her 3 sons, Kenneth Williams and his wife Deborah of Oakham, Donald Williams and his wife Mary of Spencer, and Robert Williams and his wife Norma of Shrewsbury. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, who she adored greatly; one brother and three sisters. One brother and one sister predeceased her. Lillian was born in Montreal, Canada.

She lived in New Brunswick, Canada, Fitchburg, Shrewsbury and Oakham for several years of her life with her husband and children. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother who helped raise her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to make them who they are today. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets and scarves as well as cooking, gardening, painting, and creating crafts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lillian was passionate about her role as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She truly loved all of her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all of them. The family would like to thank Jewish Home Hospice, Worcester, and Jewish Healthcare Center, Worcester.

In respect of Lillian, there will be no calling hours or a funeral. A mass will be held at St. Thomas A Becket Faith Church at 380 Vernon Ave, Barre, MA 01005 on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:00AM followed by a celebration of her life, which will be announced after mass. In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to Jewish Home Hospice, Worcester or Jewish Healthcare Center Activities, Worcester.
