The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Schob can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Jason and Family,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your Granfather We used to live down the road from him on Mt. Tom Road. He would often stop during his walks to talk to us and always talked about our boys red hair. He was such a nice gentleman and neighbor.

Condolence From: CINDY JOBES EDGELL
Condolence: Sending condolenes and prayers for the family. Andy and Candi, I know you from church at Marietta First Church. But when I read the obit, I realized I knew your father. I worked at BFG in the office in the 70's. And my father Cyrus Jobes knew your dad really well from BFG. Dad was a shift foreman and worked closely with Charlie on maintenance problems. When dad told me about the obit, he said he had another thing in common with Charlie, in that they were both pilots. So this is from both my dad and I, that God will give you peace and comfort.

Condolence From: Scott Hooper
Condolence: Dear Andy and Betsy.... I never really knew you're father, only through Andy mostly. He was kind and generous. And willing to help anyone. Even if he never knew you. I was taken back by his thoughtfulness. To this day, I still remember his act of kindness. When I would sit at a traffic light watching Mr. Schob from time to time working and taking pride in his beloved Garden on Greene street. To me, he set a prime example on how I live today... Being responsible and taking pride in ones work. That's how I will always remember him. I'm truly sorry for you're loss.

Condolence From: George and Becky Googe
Condolence: Dear Betsy, Andy and family: Becky and I send our heartfelt sympathy. We have many good memories of Charlie Bill, his great sense of humor and the fun times we had together when our family visited Grandma Camie (Camille) and Grandpa Charlie. Our children, Wendy and Charles, were not around when their grandfathers were living, so Charlie Bill did a great job of filling that void. May your memories be a comfort to all of you.
